Grab & Go, Bodie’s Bagels Saturday, June 6, 8 AM – Noon

Bodie’s Bagels food truck will offer Grab & Go service at the East Stratford Clubhouse this week – in the morning!

Their pre-ordering is only available Thursday & Friday, but you can walk up on Saturday morning (pre-ordering is still best). Payment is different…follow instructions below.

Food trucks are allowed to park in the community at any time. Their presence does not reflect a request or an endorsement of their product by the East Stratford HOA. Purchases from food truck businesses are made at your own risk. We all want to remain safe within the guidelines provided by officials, and are therefore making clear requests below on how to make food truck purchases at this time.

The Social Committee has coordinated a plan and advertising for the Bodie’s Bagels food truck arrival as a convenience for residents – and an exciting distraction! It is a pick up service only, as we cannot create opportunities to gather during days of social distancing. Please use your best judgement when deciding if public food service is the right choice for your family at this time.

  1. Learn about Bodie’s Bagels on Facebook & Instagram at Bodies Bagels (no apostrophe)
  2. Start pre-ordering 48 hours in advance by texting 703-869-3141 with your order, name and desired pick up time. **Pre-ordering is only available on Thursday & Friday; on Saturday you’ll need to walk up to the truck to order.
  3. Walk up service is available on Saturday. Take a stroll to avoid a gathering of people while you wait.
  4. Send one adult to pick up the order to limit crowd size.
  5. Got dietary needs? “Our Acai bowls are gluten and dairy free, our smoothie is gluten free and we make it dairy free on request.”
  6. Payment: “Our preferred method of payment is Venmo or PayPal. Please let us know if you have Venmo or PayPal and we will request the payment when we get the order. But please DO NOT complete the payment request until after you pick up your food. We can also accept credit card, apple pay and cash at the truck.”All guests must stand at least 6 feet apart. Use the parking lot lines as markers for where you can stand, or follow their measured chalk lines.
  7. Gatherings of 10 or more people are not allowed, and if we do not comply with this policy Boadie’s Bagels will not only have to stop service, it could jeopardize their future business. Please avoid stopping to socialize with neighbors, as tempting as it is! If it looks crowded, take a walk around the lake and try again in a few minutes.
