Pool Updates and Information
Pool season begins, Memorial day weekend and ends Labor day.
Due to the downward trend of the critical factors associated with COVID-19, the Governor has made the decision to allow Virginia to enter into Phase 3. With that announcement the ESRHOA Board made the decision to open the Community’s outdoor pool on Monday, July 6, 2020.
Despite opening the facility the risk of exposure to COVID-19 is still a concern. To that end with the Governor’s announcement was a warning that any increase in any of those critical factors the Commonwealth could return to either Phase 2 or Phase 1 restrictions and the Community facilities to include the pool would be closed. It is therefore, necessary that our Residents do their part to abide by the rules to ensure our facilities remain open and available.
SUMMARY – As previously communicated, the opening of the pool will not look the same as it has in the past. In accordance with Virginia’s re-opening plan, a number of restrictions have been put in place for the 2020 pool season to maintain the safety of both pool patrons and staff. Please read the information attached and available on the website carefully.
SESSIONS – The pool will be open with four, 90 minute swim sessions. Sessions are available daily, with 30-minute breaks in between for cleaning and sanitizing.
Session times are as follows:
• 11:30 AM – 1 PM
• 1:30 PM – 3 PM
• 3:30 PM – 5: PM
• 5:30 PM – 7 PM
Signup Tip – Residents of East Stratford are encouraged to create their own free Sign-up Genius account, if they do not already have one. The creation of an account is not required, but will make signing up for time slots easier and faster, as it will save information and eliminate the need to type it every time.
IMPORTANT NOTE – The ESRHOA Board ask for your continued patience as we move forward with the pool opening. COVID-19 and the associated restrictions are new to all of us but necessary to stay safe. Management may find the need to make changes to the Guidance and will inform Resident’s through the “blast email” process. However, one thing is certain – we will need the Community’s cooperation and support of our Resident’s to abide by the Guidance to keep our Community facilities open for the rest of the summer. If we learn that residents are not able or willing to comply with the guidance and restrictions or disregard the life guard’s direction, the Board will be forced to consider closing the pool for the remainder of the season.
