Dear East Stratford,
Last Fall, trained volunteers from the Landscape Committee applied herbicide to the tree of heaven along the common are property line from Baish Drive to the rocky ditch at Sycolin Drive. The goal of these efforts is to reduce the spotted lanternfly’s primary food source.
Tomorrow, Sunday morning, October 18th the landscape committee volunteers will be re-applying herbicide to remaining tree of heaven (trunks only) in the same area along the fence line. Volunteers will be wearing yellow vests and carrying sprayers. If you have any questions about this project or would like more information, please contact Chad Green, Landscape Committee Chair.
